The Brief
To substantially extend a rather tired, modest sized bungalow into a contemporary, detached family home, situated in the green belt area of Oldfield, near Honley.
Our Approach
Situated in green belt, we initially had to obtain planning permission to substantially extend and alter the bungalow, in order to create the family home our clients were seeking. Permission was secured for our proposals, creating a 4 bedroom dwelling, with spacious living accommodation and an abundance of natural light and scenic views to the surrounding countryside. Permission was also secured to demolish a group of outbuildings and construct a large three car garage. Externally, the entire building was rendered using a modern coloured polymer render system, to replace the traditional roughcast render, to portray a contemporary look and feel.
