Our success is down to our fabulous team, their passion, experience and the relationships they build with our clients.

Natalie Garside

Director, Architect

Natalie started working at ADP in 1999 while studying at Leeds Metropolitan University. Graduating with a first class honours, she then became a full time Architectural Assistant before qualifying as an Architect in 2004, and becoming a partner in the business in 2011.

Natalie plays a key role as lead architect and manages a large proportion of the practice’s new business and residential projects. As a result, Natalie’s time is split between managing the practice, managing projects, and travelling in and around Yorkshire and Lancashire, visiting contractors, builders and of course clients on-site.

When she’s not at work, Natalie has the challenges of managing her family (with two young teenagers it’s quite a task!), but when she does find time for herself, she enjoys swimming, keeping fit and catching up with her friends and family.

Tony Stead

Director

With almost 40 years, experience as an Architectural Technologist, Tony became a partner of ADP in 2011. As well as managing the running of the business with Natalie, Tony plays a particularly important role in training the staff on the technical side of architecture.

Although Tony has a wide range of architectural experience covering residential properties, industrial, offices and retail, he also has extensive knowledge and experience in the specialist design and construction of buildings & site infrastructure for the petroleum forecourt industry.

When Tony isn’t busy at work he’s likely to be down at the John Smiths Stadium supporting his beloved Huddersfield Town or out walking the dogs, often en-route to his favourite local!

Rachel Dunkerley

Practice Manager

Whether phoning or visiting our offices Rachel is our outgoing, friendly Practice Manager and your first point of call!

With an interior design background and a very organised nature (she needs it at home and work!), Rachel is responsible for the overall day to day running of the practice. Although still relatively new to the team, she’s already proving to be a great support to us all!

When she’s not looking after us or her family at home, Rachel loves to spend time with family and friends, whether it be walking and exploring the great outdoors or spending some quality time at home in the garden (with a G&T or two, of course!).

James Whipp

Associate – Senior Architectural Technologist

After completing an English Literature degree at Leeds Metropolitan University, James found an interest in design, designing kitchens for some of the larger retail brands before working for an architectural practice in Shipley.  This is when he returned to Leeds to complete a BTEC in Construction and a HND in Building Studies.

Continuing with his interest in design, James worked in a number of design related roles and became an expert in 3D design, training and teaching REVIT in architectural practices nationwide. He then re-located to Holmfirth and after becoming a Chartered Architectural Technologist (MCIAT) joined the ADP team, adding valuable experience and design input to both residential and commercial projects.

Very much a family man, James enjoys 5-a-side football, cycling and playing guitar with his band ‘Glass Harbours’.

Russell Earnshaw

Consultant Architect

Although officially retired now, as one of the founding partners of ADP, Russell’s 50-year commitment, and love of architecture means he’ll never fully abandon his drawing board (or more correctly these days computer aided design applications!).

Today, Russell enjoys a more flexible life-work balance as a consultant architect. With a particular interest in cutting edge low energy contemporary design and the conservation of historic buildings, Russell continues to add valuable input and advice on some of the practice’s on-going projects.

When he’s not consulting, his time is taken up with his lifelong involvement in Historic Motorsport but for quieter relaxation he also enjoys gardening, in particular propagating his own plants, and whether at work or home finds satisfaction in ticking off things on his never-ending list of things to do!
